Who we are

SofaLimpio is an online marketplace that connects customers looking for sofa, mattress, upholstery, headboard and carpet/rug cleaning with independent, verified local specialists on the Costa del Sol (currently Málaga, Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Mijas).

SofaLimpio does not itself clean your furniture — the independent specialist matched to your request does. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the website, why, and what rights you have over it.

What data we collect

The postcode and address details you give us to check coverage and arrange a visit; photos of the item you want cleaned; and the contact details you provide (name, email, phone) so a specialist can send you a quote.

If you create an account, your booking and quote history. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, the content of that conversation. Technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working correctly. And, only if you separately opt in, your marketing communication preferences.

Why we process it and our legal basis

To match you with a specialist and process your quote or booking, as a necessary step to perform (or take steps prior to) a contract with you.

To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and improve the service, based on our legitimate interest.

To send you marketing communications, or to publish a completed job (including before/after photos) with your name or details attached, only where you have separately given consent — which you can withdraw at any time without affecting any service already provided.

Who we share it with

The independent specialist matched to your request receives only what they need to quote and carry out the work: your postcode/address, the item details and photos, and the contact method you chose.

Payment processors, if you pay through the platform. Hosting and infrastructure providers who store data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Public authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

How long we keep it

Quote requests that are never completed are automatically closed after 30 days. Uploaded photos are deleted from active storage 180 days after the related request or job has been fully closed, though a record of the request itself (without the image) is kept for service-history and audit purposes.

Invoices and payment records are kept for the period required by Spanish tax law (currently treated internally as 6 years). Security and audit logs are kept for up to 730 days. These are the platform's current retention windows and may be adjusted as the product evolves; any material change will be reflected in this policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. If you have a SofaLimpio account, you can download a copy of your data or request deletion directly from your account's privacy settings.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es) if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.

International transfers

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process data within the European Economic Area. If this changes, we will update this policy and put appropriate safeguards in place before any transfer takes place.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post any change on this page with an updated date, and where a change is material we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
